Notes/Answers to the questions
scream crying(the extreme release of emotions, probably some repressed feelings coming out, self expression)

fanart (wannabe culture, the feeling of belonging to something, somewhere. no matter what a community will love and accept you.)

Wearing the merch

Rival Football Teams, Marvel vs DC)
1.1
Through my process I realized once again I’m a huge fan of Captain Marvel and Spider Man. I think these two are the ones that give me that feeling of belonging somewhere and reminds me a time when life was simpler. Nostalgia, Relatability
1.2
I assumed that the Avengers fanbase to be mostly male and misogynistic but I realized I literally forgot about first of all myself as a fan and didn’t recognize my own patterns of worship. The fanbase of Avengers of course include 13 year old future incels but it also contains this beautiful magical community where everyone is just trying to ship everyone together.
2.1
Fan Art (Deviantart, Tumblr, Instagram)
Almost all of the fans of Avengers create in some form or way about their passions in the storyline. Since Avengers are already a group of super heroes, there is a lot of room left to imagine their relationships off story. The fan arts I encountered are mostly about Captain America and Tony Stark having a child together, but my main expectation was to find more about Steve Rogers and Bucky fanfics.
Cosplayers (Handmade, store bought, re-imagined, custom made)
People dressing up as their idols has been a common pattern I encountered. For other fanbases like 1Directioners, this may mean that they can walk in Harry Styles’ shoes but for Avengers fans it represents a different kind of power as well. If you try on a superhero costume on and did the stoic pose, you can most certainly feel the difference.
Getting in the costume of another character than yourself creates an amazing hideout. You can hide behind the clothes and act like them and not be judged. Anonimity, Hide behind a mask
Online Community (Twitter Hashtags, MCU subreddit)
Being the part of the giant MCU online community is very common as well. Not necessarily on a forum but on Twitter and Instagram as well. The anonymity of these platforms give the fans a base where they can say post even evil comments about one another or critique towards their fandom. Hate, Misogyny, Free Speech
Buying Merch (Figurines, Doormats, Funko Pops)
These fans often buy any or every kind of merch presented to them This behaviour resulted in the second screening of The Endgame movie to ‘make it the highrst grossing movie in the history of cinema’. This illusory victory only enriched Marvel and Disney. Financial/Emotinal Exploitation, Literal Fraud

3.1
These stereotypes are being spread by almost all the online sharing platforms.
The celebrities and the companies spread it as well to sell more merch or just make a dying children’s wishes come true. Robert Downey Jr redeemed himself doing this. There is a whole theory about him changing as a person after he got the role of Iron Man/Tony Stark.
Whereas selling merch is the main concern of the companies, the fans mostly share the art and memes for the community and recognition. Trying to be the favourite child, Ella Enchanted
3.2.
The most recent conflict regarding the Avengers all came after the release of Endgame. The first week of the theatrical release was pure chaos, people cried and threw tantrums over spoilers and dying favorites, wrong ships, etc.
I think the most significant effect of Endgame was aforementioned rerelease. The second wind of the movie was such a manipulated scam act for the financial benefits of Marvel and Disney that it overthrown Avatar as the highest grossing movie.
This set another unrealistic expectations of budget/gross ratio which is very bad for the small budget movies.
3.3
As I mentioned before I expected a huge controversy between the dudebros and Captain Marvel because I remembered the discourse at the time. But the fans proved me wrong.
